Valérie is completing her articles at Edelson Law. She joined the firm in July 2021 after receiving her J.D. (cum laude) from the French Common Law Program of the University of Ottawa in 2021. Prior to attending law school, she completed an Honours B.Soc.Sc. in Political Science with a minor in Criminology in 2018, also at the University of Ottawa.
Edelson Law’s client-focused approach and team of lawyers is one of the many reasons why Valérie joined the firm.
Valérie’s passion for criminal law led her to work in the criminal division of the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic during her second year of law school. There, she represented individuals charged with summary conviction offences and provincial offences, ensuring the best outcome possible for her clients considering their interests and personal circumstances.
During her final year of law school, Valérie worked at the Supreme Court of Canada, her duties including assisting in-house counsel with the review of applications for leave to appeal.
Valérie is fluent in English and French.
